George Delkos & Artur Reimer : 3 Months Gone feat. Schubert Mix
The newest release from Aurora brings a very special tech house EP from Berliners George Delkos and Artur Reimer. Delkos exploded onto the scene in 2008 with one of the most successful releases of 2008 played by John Digweed and Sasha; Deftoner. Artur Reimer, a new face from Berlin has been producing great music and caught our attention with consistent quality and a recognizable tone in all of his tracks.
Doing the remix duties is Schubert who this year has released chart topping records in various genres gaining support and praise from Laurent Garnier, Ambivalent (Minus), Peter Gelderblom (EMI, Spinnin'), Tom Craft (Great Stuff), Joseph Capriati (Drumcode), and Boris Brejcha (Autist) among many others. The mix takes the vibe from the original and flips the track into a progressive techno journey utilizing a pulsing bassline and clean production.

Parallel and Dolphin in the Top 5 Minimal Charts in August through October
Three tracks on the release have been included on Beatport's Minimal Chart including cuts from Schubert, Mini Mode, and Nick Olivetti. After a month after release, we are proud to announce that Dolphin has made it to the 5th spot on the chart. We are thankful to the many Dj’s all over the world who played and supported the tracks including Ahmet Sendil, Tom Craft, Boris Brejcha, Peter Gelderblom, and more. Currently, the Occam EP is climbing quickly up the chart including the Schubert remix of Parallel, which is currently in the Top 3, and Blank Canvas!
Schubert's moniker Occam set for its first release for September
Following a barrage of successul records that have garnered support from Boris Brejtcha, Peter Gelderblom, Tom Craft, Ahmet Sendil among other well respected DJs, Schubert introduces his project Occam. With the minimalist philsophy in mind, Occam aim to stretch the experminent to new soundscapes. Dark, driving, and sometimes melodic, the tracks weave in and out concentrating on the most subtle changes carefully carved into the productions. The EP includes two originals and two remixes. Blank Canvas leads off the record with interconnected vocals and a synth sample that opens up into the crescendo before reentering the groove. Parallel strips things down more carried by perfectly engineered pieces that combine forming a massive DJ tool. The remixes are no less impressing with Joel Armstrong and Schubert lending their hands in the same style that has broken the Beatport Top Downloads many times. Overall, the EP captures a new sound, while finding balance for many techno, house, and minimal acts.
German/Ukranian Producer Grunjah debuts on Aurora with remix from Phunk Investigation
Grunjah's debut is nothing less than big room madness. Two massive mixes of a techno bomb coming on Sept 6th. The original blends a driving bassline with minimal and techno undertones following the unique Grunjah sound. Phunk Investigation's remix is no less spectacular with bone crushing beats and the use of many of the samples that the original utilizes. Each mix is very different and sure to find their way into DJ crates from techno to progressive house.
"WICKED, loving it! both mixes are great, but pref original."
Oli Cassidy (Filth & Splendour)
"COOL GROOVY BOMB! Love the PI Mix - full support 5/5 points"
Robin Hirte
"The PI remix is wicked... will def be playing that one"
Erphun (Herzblut, Audio Therapy, 8 Sided Dice)
Mini Mode - Machine Control EP: Early support from Tom Craft
Building on his freshman effort on The Sol EP, Mini Mode drops off three more minimal monsters with a very distinct touch. Cy Brain has garnered much early support and we can only wait to see how much damage this EP will cause. All three tracks build on the stylistic impression that Mini Mode has produced over the past year with very pronounced percussion and a groove that is unmistakable from the first beat. Previews of the EP can be found at www.soundcloud.com/auroramusic
The Sol EP Release: Top 5 Beatport Minimal Downloads and two more in the charts
Following successful records over the past few months, Aurora releases The Sol EP including tracks from Schubert, Mini Mode (303 Lovers), Oliver Nickels (Blu Fin), Nick Olivetti, and the introduction of Stefan Z. Dolphin and Cocaine House Job are wrecking clubs around the world already with both Schubert and Mini Mode being supported by Richie Hawtin, Tom Craft, Peter Gelderblom, Ahmet Sendil, Umek, among many fantastic DJs. The release showcases some of the talent that Aurora has supported, as well as, a preview of artists featured on Schubert's acclaimed to be released Northern Lights Album that includes cuts from DJ Yellow, Phunklarique, Alex Young, Kalva (Toolroom), Alex Dolby, Death on the Balcony, and many independent non-electronic musicians from all around the globe.
"Great Tracks. I am playing Dolphin in my sets."
